Erectile Dysfunction signals other potential major medical issues

A recent study published on February 6th, 2012 in Science Daily revealed information that erectile dysfunction, otherwise known as ED, can be a precursor for serious health problems, especially in relation to cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. As stated in the article, diabetes is appearing in more and more men each year and ED could just be the first sign of it. Diabetes can cause the build-up of plaque in the bloodstream with can be especially dangerous to the heart and prevent blood from erecting the penis. Moreover, because of this study, it is thought that more than half of ED problems are due to physical problems, such as with disease or medicines, where in the past it was thought that more than half of ED problems were psychological.
